Prep and Proof Word Documents with the Microsoft Editor and JAWS

Are you looking for ways to refine and polish Word documents? Want to know how to navigate the Microsoft Editor more efficiently with JAWS? Join us Thursday, January 20 at noon Eastern time for a live webinar, “Prep and Proof Word Documents with the Microsoft Editor and JAWS.”

What Is the Microsoft Editor?

The Microsoft Editor contains proofing features for checking spelling and grammar, plus provides readability statistics based on options you choose. The editor is free for use in Microsoft Office apps and as a browser extension for Edge and Chrome.

This free version enables you to check grammar and spelling. Microsoft 365 subscribers also receive advanced grammar and style options that address formality, conciseness, and vocabulary. Launch the editor by accessing the Home tab or by pressing the F7 key.

What We’ll Cover

We’ll provide an overview of the Microsoft Editor, plus show you how to:

  • Access the Editor using keyboard commands
  • Check spelling and grammar
  • Review and select suggested edits
  • Review readability statistics
  • Run a subsequent edit on a document
