What Is Fusion Suite Public Beta 1?
Fusion Suite refers to three Freedom Scientific software products—JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion. Beta software refers to a pre-release version of a software product that is made available for testing and feedback. While it includes most of the features planned for the final version, it may still contain bugs, incomplete features, or other issues that need to be addressed before the official release.
The Public Beta 2025 release enables users to test new features and enhancements before the upcoming final release of Fusion Suite 2025.
Note: Public Beta was created for testing purposes. It is not the final software.

What Features Can You Test?
- FSCompanion: This is Your AI-Powered assistant for learning JAWS and Microsoft applications. Want to know how a particular JAWS feature works, or the sequence of keystrokes to perform a specific task in Word? Ask FSCompanion, and the AI searches through various help and training resources in a matter of seconds, then provides the key details in a concise step-by-step format.
- Continuous OCR: To help identify and read text from applications that are otherwise inaccessible, JAWS 2025 now offers continuous optical character recognition (OCR). The OCR process runs in the background and helps ensure users can seamlessly access and interact with text content on their screens, improving overall accessibility and user experience.
- Multi-Monitor Changes: When operating in multi-monitor mode, ZoomText can signal a monitor switch or insert an artificial boundary between the monitors to help users identify where their mouse is located. Although some found these features beneficial, we discovered that a majority of users preferred retaining the original behavior. Hence, these features are now off after the first installation.
- Command Search in ZoomText and Fusion: Command Search is a feature available in both JAWS and Fusion. It allows you to enter a full or partial description of a command whose keystrokes you do not remember. Commands that match your search are displayed in a window along with a description of the feature and associated keystrokes. For Fusion, Command Search has been expanded to include more magnification commands and other functionality typically used by ZoomText.
