FSOpenLine, Freedom Scientific’s call-in show is undergoing a minor change. Instead of being held monthly as it has been since the first episode in August of 2018, we will now host our popular question and answer show quarterly. Every three months, you’ll still have the opportunity to present us with your burning questions about Freedom Scientific technology, and they will be answered by key members of our product management and engineering teams.

Highlights
FSOpenLine allows us to have an interactive conversation with you and provides yet one more way to receive your valuable feedback. We appreciate all the excellent questions and have decided to highlight a few of them here to give you an idea of how the show works for those of you who have never participated, and to encourage those who have to continue doing so.
During our first FSOpenLine held in August, a participant asked if Home Annual Licenses for JAWS and ZoomText are currently available outside the U.S. The answer was and currently still is no, but this licensing option will eventually be made available internationally.
In October, another question was posed regarding how to purchase and register an Annual License. JAWS and ZoomText Home Annual Licenses can be purchased by going to the FS Web store. Once this is complete, a confirmation Email will then be sent with a link to the licensing portal. Once there, register, log in, then download and activate the software.
During the December FSOpenLine, a participant asked if, after purchasing Fusion, it is necessary to run Fusion in order to update JAWS or ZoomText. JAWS and ZoomText can be run and updated separately, so it is not necessary to run both products as Fusion to install the updates.
These are just a few examples of the types of questions asked and answered on FSOpenLine. Visit the FSCast page on our Blog to listen to archived shows, and join us for the next FSOpenLine via zoom on Thursday, March 28 at 3:00 PM US Eastern time, 1900 UTC. We look forward to taking your questions.
