Celebrate Global Accessibility Awareness Day

Join Vispero in celebrating the 11th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) on Thursday, May 19, 2022. The Paciello Group Interactive (TPGi), a Vispero brand, will host three events to help us honor and learn more about digital accessibility. One event took place today while two others are slated for May 18 and 19. If unable to attend a live event, keep your eye on the TPGi archives for posted recordings.

What Is GAAD?

GAAD aims to create more awareness around digital accessibility, the use of inclusive design, and the impact of digital products on people with disabilities when they are inaccessible. A more inclusive world helps a significant portion of the population communicate, be more successful, and live more fulfilling lives.

Why Is Digital Accessibility Essential?

Digital accessibility ensures websites and applications are accessible to users with disabilities. This enables all users to perform important tasks such as consuming news content, conducting research, and performing essential tasks for work and school.

Help us celebrate GAAD by attending these events hosted by TPGi.

How to Create an Accessible Kiosk

Self-service kiosks are frequently used by businesses so customers can make purchases, fill out forms, and check into appointments. Accessible kiosks enable customers with disabilities to take advantage of their convenience. Register for this event, held May 18 at 1 PM Eastern time, to hear our experts discuss how to create accessible kiosk experiences.

Creating Inclusive Customer Experiences Through Digital Accessibility

TPGi is highlighting individuals who are enthusiastic about the advancement of digital accessibility programs within their organizations and are focused on creating inclusive customer experiences. Register for this event and join TPGi’s Mark Miller, Director – Emerging Accounts & Platform, along with special guests to learn about how these individuals started their accessibility programs, the challenges they encountered, and the status of these programs. They will also share tips for helping new accessibility programs operate more efficiently. This event takes place on May 19 at 11 AM Eastern time.

You Do Not Know What You Do Not Know

Today’s first event focused on the importance of arming developers with the right skills and knowledge to design accessible websites and applications. TPGi’s Senior Accessibility Engineer Jonny James shared his experiences and explain what it means to be qualified in the field.

Visit TPGi’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day page to learn more about these events. Recordings will be available on the TPGi On Demand Webinars page in the near future.
