FS Skill Building and Review – Using JAWS with MS Word

During our April 4th webinar, we presented various features of Microsoft Word and demonstrated how to use them with JAWS. Now it’s time for another FS Skill Building and Review where we’ll break down a few of those tasks into interactive lessons for a more comprehensive training experience.

You’ll have the opportunity to either follow along as we go, or simply sit back and listen. You can always access the lessons again along with a few handy supplementals later once the archive is posted.

Topics We’ll Cover

The next FS Skill Building and Review will tackle frequently used MS Word features we’ll break down into a comprehensive task-based training session. These include:

  • Navigating the Save As Dialog Box to save a file, choose a specific folder location, select alternate file types, and more.
  • How to apply formatting to a document using JAWS, and then use JAWS to verify those changes.
  • Provide various tips and features such as where to find custom templates in Word and turning the spelling and grammar notification sounds on and off in JAWS.
